Mission Statement

New Hope Academy is a Christ-centered community school with an economically, racially and culturally diverse student body. It exists to serve low-income families by establishing a solid Biblical worldview, instilling vision, confirming hope and preparing each young person for a life of service.

Description

New Hope Academy is a pioneering school that brings together a love for Christ Jesus with a promise of an excellent classical education. We have a committed focus on whole-child development through caring academic mentoring along with a vision for connected community where students and families form meaningful relationships across economic, racial, and cultural differences. We feel this provides a foundation to begin the process of combating the roots of inequality, race-based separation and class-oriented isolation. We reserve a minimum of 43% of our seats for low-income students, although we typically enroll 50 - 60% low income students. Another 14 - 20% of our students receive some financial assistance on a sliding fee scale. The remainder of our seats are filled by full-pay students. O ur students living in generational poverty need to learn middle-class language and communication styles that have proved to be essential for success in the education world. Our middle and upper middle class students need to develop relationships that bridge the class based separation that is increasingly prevalent in today's schools and neighborhoods. All to the glorification of our Lord and Savior.
