Mission Statement

On The Rise is a nonprofit organization that helps at-risk youth in Clark County Ohio. The organization is a year round program which promotes responsibility, compassion, work ethic and postive self-image by getting back to the basics in a working farm setting.

Description

On The Rise serves at risk and underprivilged youth in Clark County struggling with family, social, educational, and behavioral issues.

Our caring staff offers activities promoting responsibility, compassion, work ethic and positive self image. On a daily basis children and teens cook, clean, care for animals, sew and garden. Tutors provided by the Wittenberg Community Service Program are available to help with homework.

We encourage healthy lifestyles from mental and physical well being to nutrion. We provide healthy meals and snacks to which garden to table is a big aspect. With our on site garden where the kids see the fruits of their labor grow and prosper into some of the delicious meals they prepare.

From seed to growth to cultivation, this back to basic lifestyle change is not one that many youth have experienced before.
