Mission Statement

Founded in 2005, the Brain Injury Association of California (BIACAL) is a chartered state affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA); the country’s oldest and largest nationwide brain injury advocacy organization. With a joint mission to advance brain injury prevention, research, treatment, and education, BIACAL strives to improve the quality of life for all Californians affected by brain injury and people who care for them.

Description

In 2015, BIACAL will hold 8 Walk events across the state to promote awareness of brain injury, bring people together to connect with each other, and local resources, and lastly, raise funds to support the work of BIACAL. We are excited to expand on the Walk in Los Angeles by adding a Motorcycle Ride. The Walk & Ride For Brain Injury event will take place at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Motorcycle Riders will start at Santa Anita Park, proceed onto the Angeles Crest Highway where they will stop at a picnic area and return to Santa Anita Park to join the Walk participants and enjoy the other festivities planned for the day. Actor & Comedian Larry Miller will emcee the event to include a BBQ lunch, VIP speakers, entertainment, pony rides & carnival games for the kids and a raffle & silent auction.
