Mission Statement
Taking Turns Toybrary serves as a community resource of developmental and educational materials, with a special emphasis on providing families with routine access to quality toys and games that meet the needs of children of all abilities. Play supports the development of cognitive, physical, social and emotional skills, and toys are the tools that help build the future success of all children.
Description
Taking Turns Toybrary is a toy-lending library where families can check out quality, educational and (best of all!) FUN toys and games. Services are offered free to families, and each child can borrow one toy at a time to play with at home for up to 2 weeks. By partnering with local public libraries and other agencies, we are able to make our toys available in multiple locations and reach more families each day. Taking Turns Toybrary also collaborates with other agencies and schools to offer the Partners at Work and Play Program, which helps teens and young adults with disabilities gain marketable job skills.
Taking Turns Toybrary is a great place to "Play It Forward!"
