Mission Statement

The Community Learning Center ("CLC") is a non-profit tutoring organization that was founded in 1998. Our purpose is to improve the lives of children and families through effective education, making learning fun, relevant and a lifelong activity. CLC provides meaningful tutoring and educational programs to youth. We inspire and improve the lives of youth through education. CLC's objective is to ensure that all kids have access to the one-on-one help they need, regardless of family income level.

Description

We need a team of volunteer tutors starting from age 14 and up who can be committed to an elementary school tutoring program for minimum of 3 months. These elementary kids will range from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The objective is to have volunteers go thru 1-2 hours of training to then tutor these grade levels with the basic reading, spelling, comprehension, and math skills.
