i was a gil scout and it ws the best thing i ever did. it helped e connect with others and learned alot of the out doors and how to hel the community

Girl Scouts has volunteering opportunities ranging from just a few hours a month to several hours a week, and activities to fit a variety of interests. I wasn't sure how I wanted to volunteer with Girl Scouts, other than knowing I didn't want to be a troop leader. So I signed up on the web site to volunteer, filled out the forms, got the background check and went to a local meeting -- and now I'm helping with the communications activities for my immediate area. Most of my activities can be done from home on my computer -- just what I was looking for! I can take on more activities as my interests and time allow (for instance, tonight I helped with checking people in for a one-time event), and I really like that flexibility. I feel very support by the state office here. I'm so glad that, in my own little way, I'm helping Girl Scouts.
