Whitefield Academy

Description

Established in 1997, Whitefield Academy is preparing to move from its initial location in the heart of Buckhead, an area of Atlanta known for affluence, to the Northwestern perimeter of the city. The move empowers the organization to fully expand its programs and best serve the diverse Christian families the school is called to serve (from Christian families of both substantial and unsubstantial means and from various geographic, economic and cultural origins). The teachers at Whitefield have come from the most competitive preparatory schools in the South and each brings a depth of experience, from within their disciplines, built upon the foundation of their personal commitment to daily follow Jesus Christ. The Board members of the School have made substantial resource commitments and, as with the internal programs of the school, the best available professional counsel has been utilized to plan, and begin the movement to the future permanent campus. The Atlanta real estate development company Carter & Associates is managing the process under the supervision of an experienced and gifted group of volunteers on Whitefield's building and ground's committee. Many other aspects of the schools rapidly expanding enterprise can benefit from additional spiritually active and professionally gifted volunteer leaders.
