Mission Statement

Our Lifesaving Mission
The Neenah Animal Shelter exists to humanely care for lost, surrendered, neglected, impounded and abandoned adoptable pets until suitable homes are found for them. We strive to improve the quality and strength of the bond between people and their pets through education and example.

The Neenah Animal Shelter is located just off Highway 41 in Neenah, WI. Our facility is tucked in ten minutes North of Oshkosh and ten minutes South of Appleton. We can be found just East of Highway 41 on CR-G.

Each day we strive to create the best possible environment for the animals that enter our premise. Our vision is to provide the best possible care for the sick, homeless and abused, while continuing to educate the community on proper ways to care for pets as well as the importance of spay/neutering animals.

As soon as a dog or cat arrives at our facility, our staff begins to examine the animal for current health, microchip, as well as future opportunity for adoption. All of our pets are inoculated, wormed, and when the budget allows, spayed or neutered. Once fully examined, our new member is published on Petfinder.com and is viewable in our cat or dog adoption room. Then, we do everything in our power to help our new resident find the perfect match -- a family who is just right and will give the pet a wonderful home. While waiting for a permanent home, our dogs and cats receive the very best care.

The Neenah Animal Shelter receives minimal city funding and is dependent on contributions from the community to cover its annual operating budget. Please show your commitment to our work and the loving pets we serve and make a donation today.

The Neenah Animal Shelter is a non profit organization and teh animals there are so well loved and taken care of by volunteers. My son and I stopped in and saw the cats and dogs were running low on food. So off to walmart we went to restock the supplies. Thank you Neenah for all you do to care and organize needs for our animals.
