FreedomWINGS

Description

The purpose of FreedomWINGS is to be a catalytic force, activating the involvement of churches in actively helping people in need.

The FreedomWINGS intends to help develop new and exciting opportunities for churches to help people in need, with the ultimate goal of freeing those families from dependency on government, chemicals, negative influences and any other entity which enslaves them yet pointing them to true freedom by becoming dependent on God and HIS resources.

FreedomWINGS will enlist congregations; facilitate the training of those congregations.

FreedomWINGS aims to:
* Create a resource database of all faith-based work with the poor.
* Utilize other databases to assist churches connect with resources.
* Create a Professional Resources Database of professionals willing to give pro bono assistance to congregations as they assist the poor and needy.
* Partner with other related nonprofit organizations.
* Assist congregations in developing partnerships with other congregations or related nonprofit organizations and enable them to share resources.
* Encourage and assist congregations to begin, expand or maintain supportive, cooperative and/or specialized programs.
* Serve as a central point of contact for all faith-based work with the poor and needy.
* Serve as a resource and consultant to all faith-based work with the poor and needy.
* Sponsor a biennial conference for training, networking, fellowship, exchange of ideas and celebration.
