Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Flight 1 Carriers, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that deploys innovative disaster response systems to communities in crisis due to natural and man-made disasters. Flight 1 Carriers employs a unique approach to disaster response. Instead of stockpiling materials and supplies in case of emergency; our staff engages in year round distribution of supplies to assist in crisis prevention.
Flight 1 Carriers operations contain three program areas: Emergency Deployment Center, Mobile Refrigeration Units (MRU), F1C Consortium
Emergency Deployment Center (EDC) Distributes supplies, equipment, and food to communities and individuals in need. When a request is made for EDC supplies our rapid response team will transport materials to target areas immediately. Over the past year the EDC provided food and supplies to over 2000 unsheltered homeless, refugee families, senior residents and poverty stricken families.
Mobile Refrigeration Unit (MRU)When Flight 1 Carriers will deploy mobile refrigeration units (MRU) into areas that are in an emergency state. The MRU can used to store medicine, food, and other items that require refrigeration or freezer type temperatures. The MRU are ideal for areas without a power source and the need to protect perishable items.
F1C ConsortiumThe consortium is a work group of designers, engineers, and fabricators who develop portable and self-sustaining products to support disaster response operations. The products created by the consortium will provide the tools needed for business, institutions, and service groups to continue to supply services to the general public during a crisis situation.
