Mission Statement

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Augustana Care .We are happy that you are offering your time and talents to the residents. Our hope is that every resident will have a volunteer visiting them on a regular basis. The mission of Augustana Care Corporation (ACC) is to serve God by fostering fullness of life for the elderly and other people in need through the provision of healthcare, housing and other services in a Christian environment. Winner of the 2015 Excellence in Not-for-Profit Leadership Award from LeadingAge

Description

The purpose of this program is to bring love, joy, peace and hope to individual residents through developing a relationship, and to achieve the following goals:

  1. To enrich the resident’s life by personal relationships.
  2. To build the resident’s self-esteem by showing that they are valued, functioning individuals who are loved and cared about.
  3. To allow the resident to share their stories and histories.
  4. To help the resident realize that Augustana Care is a place where they should be because it meets their emotional, social and spiritual needs.

Augustana Care celebrates long life and constantly seeks to strengthen our sensitivity to the needs of the elderly. We acknowledge the long journey they have traveled and offer them support with dignity, love and respect. Every person needs to love and be loved. Augustana residents are no different.
