Description

Assistance League of Phoenix brings smiles to school children across the Greater Phoenix area by distributing its programs that work to improve childrens lives by fulfilling basic needs, fostering self-esteem and enhancing quality ofl life.

ALP is a volunteer driven non-profit, which means the programs are not possible without compassionate people who want to give back.

PROGRAMS

  • Operation School Bell - provides brand new school clothing and other essentials to children in the K-8th grade in Title I schools throughout the Phoenix area.
  • HUGS - provides cute teddy bears to Phoenix PD and Fire Department for distribution to children who have experienced a traumatic event, giving them something to hug at their time of need.
  • Book Gifts, promotes literacy to Title 1 students with books gifted on their birthday, class sets for educators and literacy days.
  • Wee Help - prepares layettes for social service agencies and are distributed to new mothers and newborns in poverty
