Oakland 2000 Ready to Learn is committed to mobilizing community resources in order to strengthen the parenting skills of Oakland residents. Educational opportunities will be provided through information and resources essential in developing children's (0-5 years) capabilities as curious, healthy, creative, and critically thinking learners as they prepare for kindergarden.

Description

Oakland 2000 Ready to Learn is an innovative coalition of over 200 partners including businesses, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, concerned individuals, parents and local, state and federal government committed to the children of Oakland. A collaborative program of information, services and advocacy has been launched to help parents and caregivers provide a safe, healthy, and intellectually stimulating environment to nurture the development of children, 0-5 years of age.
