DRVS MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC); Data, Research and Vital Statistics (DRVS) is to preserve, protect and promote the health and well-being of the citizens of Maine by providing quantitative information for surveillance, planning, policy development, program management and evaluation.
Volunteer Opportunity with State of Maine, Data, Research and Vital Statistics which collects and maintains records of births, deaths, marriages and divorces dating from January 1, 1892 to present and issuing certified copies upon request. As a volunteer you will be asked to perform tasks that require strict attention to detail, exhibit computer aptitude, provide customer service, conduct research using computer database and/or original records and the ability to work independently. The information you will be working with is strictly confidential and requires a person who understands and adheres to confidentiality protocol.
This is a specialized and unique opportunity for those interested in receiving job skill training. Applicants will be interviewed, references are requested and contacted and a background check will be required before volunteering commences.
