Mission Statement
Promise Hospice’s mission is to "comfort always" and to provide individualized care to all who are facing terminal illness and the end of life. Promise Hospice provides comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual care as well as subsequent bereavement services during life-limiting illness to promote successful grieving in patients and their families.
Description
Hospice is not a place, but a philosophy of care. We care for people who are terminally ill by providing comfort, alleviating symptoms, meeting individual goals, and relieving pain. We serve patients at private homes, board and care facilities, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. As a hospice, we address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual pain of the patient; provide bereavement support to the family before and after the patient's death; incorporate a team approach; and affirm the dignity and quality of life for all.
We provide comprehensive orientation and training, and we are committed to ensure that you have all the tools you need to feel supported and have the best volunteer experience you can have. This is an excellent opportunity to provide compassion and support to families facing the end of life.
