Mission Statement

To reduce the overpopulation of companion animals in Chaves County, NM through aggressive spay/neuter programs.

Description

We are a shelterless shelter in Roswell, NM. All of our fsoters are cared for in private homes.

We take almost 100% of our animals from City of Roswell Animal Control where they only get 7 days. In 2007, we took exactly 500 animals from Animal Control. We did 157 adoptions locally - the majority through PETCO and the rest went to humane shelters and rescue organizations for spay/neuter and adoption.

We opened a spay/neuter clinic in early 2006 and do approximately 400 low cost surgeries for the public.

We are also working with the City Council to make some badly needed updates to the animal ordinances.
