Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT:
To promote unity and encourage social ties and cultural pride among
people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing across Southwest
Missouri.
To promote opportunities for social and educational interaction
between individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, families and
friends.
To make available new avenues of information, counsel, support and
encouragement to people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and their
families.
To promote active involvement of Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens
in meaningful community, civic and state events.
To raise funds allowing the organization to be self-supporting,
making these activities possible within the local community and
surrounding areas.
To broaden public awareness regarding Deaf language and culture,
as well as spotlight the need to make services and activities
accessible to people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
