Comfort Hospice is currently seeking Volunteers for the Spring, Texas Area, As a Comfort Hospice Volunteer you'd have the opportunity to do Clerical work as well as work side by side with patients and their families. We are also seeking individuals who have special skills, such as musicians or those who can provide pet therapy for our patients. Simply being a friend to someone that is alone and unable to leave their residence due to their health condition can make all the difference to a person. Visiting, watching TV, card games, reading, writing or just hand holding could bring joy in the life of a lonely person. Listening to stories of much happier times warms the heart of someone facing the toughest time in their life. If you are a good listener or enjoy reading, writing, computers, watching TV programs or simply holding the hand of someone that needs a friend please consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Imagine spending your final days bed ridden or simply unable to leave your home because you're too weak or ill to do much of anything. We currently have patients that would like to have someone come and spend time with them talking and doing other enjoyable things. Volunteering doesn't take much time at all.
