To make a positive difference in the lives of children and teens, regardless of religion, ethnicity or gender, through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with caring volunteers, and programs that will empower them to reach their greatest potential.

Description

Catholic Big Brothers has been serving the boys and girls of New York since 1911. Our programs are based on a very simple concept - friendship. Each volunteer is matched with a child on a one-to-one basis sharing a few hours per week, acting as a friend and role model. A match is made on the basis of the compatibility of the needs of the child and the interests of the volunteer. Agency staff supervises all match relationships, providing support, training and casework services.
