Mission Statement

United By Media empowers people with developmental disabilities with a media voice and a platform for community involvement.

We acquire press passes on behalf of our reporters with disabilities to cultural events they are interested in. They have interviewed celebrities Lewis Black, Lyle Lovett, Ken Griffey Jr., The Indigo Girls and many more.

Description

Volunteers are matched with reporters based on common interest. If you enjoy being around people with developmental disabilities, you can spend time with them attending events, or over coffee reviewing events. If you are more comfortable working with people with disabilities behind the scenes, you can help them put their event on our website(nearly identical to making a Facebook post) Or you can help match them with a corporate sponsor.
