Mission Statement

A 1994 graduate of St. Marys college, Genny passed away on Nov 25, 2000 after a 5 year battle with Alveolar Soft part Sarcoma, a form of cancer. She was 28 years old.

To honour and remember Genny, her family and friends established a scholarship in her name at St Marys college called the Gennyfund.

Gennyfund is also committed to supporting the Sarcoma Foundation of America in their work to find a cure and raise awareness of treatment needs.

Description

The San Francisco Oyster Festival has picked the Gennyfund this year as our supporting charity. Our event is the largest oyster festival on the West Coast drawing over 15,000 to the Great Meadows at Fort Mason last year. The Gennyfund will receive a donation for each volunteer who works on their behalf in addition to a share of ticket sales.
