Description

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We have been a part of our Joplin community since 1897! Since the Joplin Tornado of 2011, Immanuel has had a renewed interest in serving the needs of our town and neighborhood. We have been busy helping to rebuild lives and homes, discovering new ways to serve along the way.

Our K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry provides caring, compassionate care to folks in nursing homes, hospitals, schools and community events as we share the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ to those in need. Louie and Jackson the Comfort Dogs are avaiable to be a calming influence for all.

Our Martin Luther School ministry serves more than 130 students and their families from the area from preschool through 8th grade. Our focus is to light the flame of learning in young hearts, preparing them for life as faith-filled participants in our world.

Immanuel is striving to live out our mission of being Grounded in Christ, Guided by Grace, and Growing to Serve.
