Mission Statement

The Sexual Assault Resource Center believes that all people have the right to live free from sexual violence. SARC provides comprehensive, direct services to anyone affected by sexual violence in Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben counties. By creating awareness, providing education, and promoting volunteerism, SARC works to improve community response to sexual violence.

Description

SARC provides direct services to both primary and secondary victims of sexual assault, abuse, harassment, or rape. People who reside in the Southern Tier of NY State (Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben counties) are eligible for free and confidential services including:

-supportive/crisis counseling

- medical/legal accompaniments

- phone counseling

- safety planning

- information/referrals

- advocacy
