Greater Opportunities

Description

In 1983, a group of dedicated parents who had sons and daughters with developmental disabilities, banded together to form an organization (The Mountain View Center for Independent Living) that would later become Greater Opportunities. Greater Opportunities is a private non-profit 501(C)3 organization that provides personalized support services to men and women with a range of developmental disabilities including: autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation, downs syndrome, and other developmental impairments. Since its inception, Greater Opportunities has provided "Day Services", "Independent Living Services", and "Supported Living Services" to hundreds of adults with special needs, while keeping quality of life, personal empowerment, and self-sufficiency at the forefront of its mission.
