Mission Statement

The GSTC establishes and manages global sustainable tourism standards with the aim of increasing sustainable tourism knowledge and practices among public and private stakeholders.

Description

The GSTC is a UN-endorsed NGO with the unique role of establishing and managing baseline standards for sustainability in travel and tourism.

It is a mostly volunteer network, virtual and truly global. It's programs and activities are based on the GSTC Criteria, the global standards, aiming to build awareness and capacity within both the private and public sectors in enhancing sustainability.
