To help the youth in the Conejo Valley define goals, plan for their future, identify skill set, develop resumes, practice interview skills and help youths learn how to get the right job that fits with their skill set.
For almost 50 years, the Conejo Youth Employment Servce (CYES) has been working as a non-profit organization to offer free coaching services to high school and college studients and "drop outs" learn how to get the best job that fits their skill set.
CYES is active with other community organizations to provide youth workshops regarding drug and alcohol abuse, and for 11th grade students, coordinating community internship training for local employer jobs.
CYES has expanded services to working with comunity groups for the Harvest Food Recovery Program and now has 40 volunteers collecting and distributing donated food from local provider organiztions to feed over 80 families, some of which have children that are CYES clients.
CYES is dependent on the financial support from generous individuals and business to keep all of the services free to these young people.
