The Hord Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization established by. Noel and Cora E. Hord in January 1993. The purpose of the foundation is to promote education and enhance career opportunities of young minority people by providing post secondary school scholarships or other assistance for educational purposes.

Description

: The Hord Foundation, Inc. attempts to address the education and career needs of young African American students via The Hord Foundation Scholarship Program; the Foundation's other programs, (The Hord Academy, College Push, Career Seminars and Start Now), are non-discriminatory and are open to the entire community regardless of sex, religion or ethnicity.
