Educating and engaging Kansas City citizens to restore and protect the Blue River Watershed.
BRWA has 3 areas of focus: 1. Community education; 2. Environmental stewardship and 3. Strategic partnerships.
BRWA is looking for Board members who are interested in serving on an active, hands-on Board to reach out to the KC metro community at large to raise awareness of the .importance of water quality in our area streams, lakes and rivers.
In 2014 BRWA worked with over 10,000 middle school students which included getting them out to area streams to have the hands on experience of testing water.
BRWA is actively working to expand our educational programs to eventually span K-12 with meaningful, age appropriate tasks at each level.
BRWA is seeking candidates who want to actively work with us to grow these programs, build strategic partnerships and raise general public awareness about the value of good water quality. Specifically, we are seeking teachers, engineers, marketing /PR people, graphic designers, landscape architects, and people with an interest in environmental stewardship.
