Mission Statement
Living Earth Television is a not-for-profit provider of cost-effective international film and video programming that promotes cultural and environmental literacy across geographic and ethnic borders. We acquire, adapt, and distribute locally produced nonfiction programming for broadcasters, mass audiences and education.
Description
Living Earth Television (LETV) works with filmmakers, broadcasters and educators around the world to share cultural documentaries by, from and about people and communities around the world.
We are currently adapting four award-winning Chinese documentaries for broadcast on the World Channel from PBS in the USA. We are also adapting Chinese documentaries for classroom use and creating modules relating to specific national standards in education. These two projects focusing on China are a pilot program, and we will expand our search for top documentaries to Africa and other parts of Asia after the initial Chinese programs are launched.
