Easter Seals volunteers in Centre County help to support the ongoing efforts of our Child Development Center (CDC), located on Rolling Ridge Drive in State College. The Center is part of a nationwide network of Easter Seals Child Development Centers designed to provide outstanding services to children with both typical and special developmental needs and thier families. Exceptional physical resources, innovative curriculums and exceptionally well qualified staff ensure that each child served by through the Center has the opportunity to develop to his or her fullest potential. CDC staff are equipped to attend to a broad range of medical, behavioral and leaning needs and classrooms are staffed with certified teaching staff who work in collaboration with Easter Seals therapist and other community service providers to coordinate the best of care and development services for each child. Parents and primary care givers are highly involved in each child's education and daily care plan. On a daily basis, children can be observed engaging in activities that allow for stimulating play and social skills development, in addition to structured learning activities. And , preschoolers can spread their wings in a playground built specifically to accommodate their need for a safe and inspiring outdoor space in which to move and explore. No one is denied access or is turned away from the care and support that they desperately need.
