You Have the Power...Know How to Use It, Inc. is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to educate, advocate and empower individuals and communities who are impacted by violent crime. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, YHTP was founded in 1993 by former First Lady of Tennessee, Andrea Conte, to advocate for victims and educate the community to prevent violent crime. YHTP raises awareness about crime and justice issues through victim advocacy, community education programs, resource guides, and documentaries. Based in Nashville, YHTP is funded through private donations and grants.
