Mission Statement

The Wasilla Homeless-Committee is a non-profit group of community volunteers dedicated to ending homelessness in the Matanuska- Susitna Valley.

Description

Wasilla Homeless-Committee works in conjunction with other organizations dedicated to helping the homeless. We are able to provide resource information, case management, emergency food, clothing, and transportation. We are currently working to obtain an emergency shelter here in the Mat-Su valley, as inadequate emergency sheltering exists at this time.

We are also endeavoring to explore the building of more housing for our lower income populations, as well as transitional living.

Our goal is Hope Village, a community of tiny houses in 3 phases, growing from emergent to transitional to long term low income housing.

Sandi explained her project needs and requirement. I was able to etch out what her organization was looking for. The project becomes easy if your user explains the problem well. I am glad I could help out!
