Mission Statement

LITTLE SCHOLARS DAYCARE OUR MISSION ...is to provide safe, affordable, high quality childcare in a supportive and stimulating environment. OUR PHILOSOPHY Little Scholars is an educational facility that offers childcare services to children from ages six weeks to five years of age. We seek to provide a nurturing, child-centered environment where WHOLE child development is the focus. Little Scholars believes children must discover oneself in relation to others in the world. Therefore, special emphasis is placed on the enhancement of social-emotional skills. We are dedicated to assisting children with identification, expression, and communication of their joys and fears in effective, acceptable ways. Little Scholars understands children learn by interacting with the world around them. Our play-based curriculum is developmentally appropriate and reflects constructivist theory. Our highly qualified staff provides stimulating, hands-on experiences with rich activities to enhance each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Little Scholars accepts each child as a unique individual with varying learning styles and abilities. Our daily schedule gives children freedom to select activities according to their interests. This ensures success, thus builds self-confidence and competence toward future academic achievement. Little Scholars is committed to the families we serve. We give support and encouragement to our families and recognize them as the child's first teacher. We recognize that parents, teachers, and the community must collaborate to provide a dynamic environment that will build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Little Scholars is devoted to professional development and increased training opportunities for staff. Staff members are challenged to attend early childhood workshops beyond annual licensing requirements.
