Mission Statement

Islamic Center of Alameda is a non-profit community organization serving the needs of the Muslims living in the city of Alameda, as well as the neighboring East Bay areas.

Islamic Center of Alameda is a venue daily worship, as well as Friday congregational prayer (jum'uah). We provide a place for our Muslim families to gather by offering activities designed to enhance & foster a strong Muslim identity -- programs include: Arabic & Islamic classes for adults & children; youth groups for both boys and girls. Family potluck family night, as well as inter-faith dialogue and resource of information for our non-Muslim neighbors.

Islamic Center of Alameda is a resource place for the community; we provide referral service & counseling to those of our community members in need.

Established in late 1998, ICA has been forefront in keeping Muslims in Alameda a visible face and voice in the community.

Description

Islamic Center of Alameda has been offering Islamic Studies and Arabic classes to the children in our community.

We are in great need of volunteers to help us in our Weekend "madrassa" (Islamic School). To date we have over 80 students participating in our program.

i would like to recommend this organization to friends,colleagues and everyone interested in volunteer activities.It still the best way to express our humanity and well being in our community
