Mission Statement

Prime Care Hospice, LLC. is committed to excellence in providing exceptional care, comfort and service to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses allowing them to live his/her final days out comfortably, to the fullest extent possible and to experience a dignified, peaceful death.

It is our mission as well, to be of support to their families, caregivers and loved ones in affirming life and to be of service to the community in the spirit of enriching lives.

Description

Volunteers will be asked to do any of the following that they feel would meet their ability and schedule.

Bedside care, respite for primary caregiver, light house work, errands, phone calls, writing letters, reading, bereavement, meal preparation, administrative assistance, speaking engagements, attendance at health fairs, home maintenance

It sounds like you are interested in working with people and that you work from your heart. Hospice Volunteers are very special and dedicated people. I so appreciate your interest. The most important part of being a volunteer is being a friend to your patients. We have a lot of patients who do not have family and need a special someone in their life who loves and cares about them. My Hospice Volunteers are wonderful in this capacity and treat their patients with love and kindness.

We start by having you come into the office (43 rd and Glendale) we discuss the job description and see if this is what you would like to do. I have you complete the paperwork (Volunteers fill out all the same paperwork as employees). We will have you go to Concentra and get a Drug Screening and then we do a Kroll Background Check (these items are mandatory because you will be going into people's homes). Once we have received these items back we will schedule for the training session which takes about 12 hrs. (Two six hour days). Then you are out seeing patients.

Please call to schedule an appointment with me at 623-847-2323.

When you come you will need to bring in: Driver's License, Social Security card, proof of automobile insurance. If you have a fingerprint card that can be used in lieu of the Background Check.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Again, thank you for your interest in Prime Care Hospice and I look forward to meeting as soon as you are able.
