Mission Statement
We aim to promote awareness and research funding for neuromyelitis optica (NMO), an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system, which can help unlock the cure to other autoimmune diseases.
Description
The Connor B. Judge Foundation is a non-profit organization, formed in honor of beloved son, brother and friend Connor Judge, after he suffered a severe NMO attack that left him temporarily blind and paralyzed from the waist down. After two weeks in the neurology department of the Cleveland Clinic and 6 weeks of intense physical rehabilitation at MetroHealth, Connor recovered both his eyesight and ability to walk. However, he still endures daily pain throughout his back and legs, and many other complications from NMO. Most importantly though, his optimism for his recovery and ability to live life "normally" never waned. It is this positive outlook we hope to spread to others battling NMO, MS and other autoimmuen and rare diseases, while raising funding to find a cure.
