Mission Statement

Transfernation, Inc. is a registered non-profit which leverages technology to find sustainable solutions to food waste and hunger. Currently we work to ensure extra food from events goes to support underserved communities as the first step in a cultural shift in how we view our extra food.

Description

Transfernation operates off three seperate models of food redistribution. The first is by partnering social institutions with corporations and events they have the capacity to work with through our online platform. This works like a google calander as we aim for it to be populated with events from which social institutions can select those which make the most sense for their organization. Secondly for events which are more instantanous or for those we cannot find a partner we will cordinate volunteers to pick up the excess food and bring it to a nearby shelter or soup kitchen. Finally we look to ride or volunteer donation through organizations with delivery infastructure (e.g. Uber)
