ChickTech NYC is dedicated to increasing the number of women and girls pursuing STEM and high-tech careers.

Description

We envision a safe, inclusive and innovative technology future that includes equal pay, participation and treatment of women.

ChickTech is edicated to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing hte number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers.

We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events to empower, support and increase the confidence of women and girls. Through our events, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing high tech industry.

I do not know if I will recommend this organization right now, but there is no reason for me not to at this point. But then again, it is not my place to discredit something with good intent, even if I do not have a stellar experience. This explanation requirement is a bit more perplexing than I thought it would be, especially when I haven't participated yet... Would it be possible to add "N/A" as an option, for situations like mine? :) Just a suggestion.
