Through a partnership with the University of Washington, the Center offers PALS, a program to help older people become physically active. PALS stands for "Physical Activity for a Lifetime of Success." It is a free program for anyone over 50 who would like to increase their physical activity level. An individualized exercise program is designed for each participant, tailored to their particular needs and circumstances. Volunteers, who are trained in motivational interviewing, offer telephone support for the PALS participants from their own homes.
