Mission Statement

"The RKM Foundation helps underprivileged children in rural Jamaica to spark their imagination with the help of donated toys and books. We give them a voice by helping them to open their minds beyond the hardships of their environment, and embrace "change through imaginative play."

Description

The RKM Foundation was created in 2010 by Janeka Miller and Christine Allen, Jamaican-born sisters who live and work in the United States. It is named in honor of their brother Rohan Kiel Miller who died in a tragic accident at the age of 10.

Our memories of Rohan reflect his passion for life and how much he enjoyed dreaming, playing, imagining, and creating. The Foundation honors his memory by focusing on children--empowering their imagination--to play and to create a brighter and more enlightened future. One child, one toy, one book at a time.
