Our VISION: Develop and operate permanent supportive housing for men and women overcoming homelessness, especially those with mental illness, substance abuse, and medical or other disabling conditions.
Description
Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) serves chronically homeless men, women and families with permanent supportive housing. We now serve 108 single men and women and 30 families with a total of 60 children. Our ongoing success is somewhat dependant on community support, including dedicated volunteers. we are looking at ending chronic homelessness by December 2016. Our work will not be completed. We will support the people we serve for their lifetime or until they decide to move on. Our rate of residents returning to homelessness is under 2% that means 98% remain housed with ongoing support. Come join us in our mission of ending homelessness in our lifetime.
