I was a volunteer at ACYR for nearly 4 months and had a wonderful experience. I spent 8-10 hours a week working with young adults on a pharmacy technician program, which was a partnership between the City of Phoenix, Phoenix College, CVS and ACYR. The staff was great and the students were even better. It was great working with under-served youth and young adults who were striving to make a difference in their lives. Additionally, it's an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the workforce development field, which is and will continue to be a valuable industry in the foreseeable future.
