Mission Statement

The philosophy of the Hall of Health is that health and human biology go hand in hand: an understanding of how the body works provides a meaningful context for all of the practices that promote good health.

Description

At the Hall of Health, we are running an after-school Science Program, in which the primary project activity is the development of a novel, interactive biomedical science curriculum for 4th and 5th grade students in low socioeconomic environments. In addition to classroom activities, the project includes teacher workshops, family events, field trips to the Hall of Health, and a new exhibit at the Hall of Health on social and genetic factors in health.
