Preventing and treating HIV through direct services, advocacy, education and awareness.
AID Upstate began in 1987 as a response to the AIDS epidemic. Since then, AID Upstate has provided a wide range of compassionate and responsive services to persons who are living with HIV and AIDS. Last year alone we provided over 900 individuals living with HIV case management and/or other services through our office.
We are constantly growing and changing to reflect the community needs. We began as a consortium of public, nonprofit community based organizations, private health and support service organizations, interested individuals and persons living with HIV; today we serve a four-county region in the South Carolina Upstate, providing comprehensive HIV-related services including: prescription medications, dental health care, client advocacy, food bank, mental health services, emergency financial services, transportation, short-term rent/mortgage/utility assistance, health education and so much more.
AID Upstate provides services to individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other individual characteristics.
