Mission Statement

The River Walk Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1968 to promote, protect and preserve the San Antonio River Walk, the number one tourist attraction in Texas. The Association accomplishes this through the production of special events along the River Walk throughout the year and through the publication of Rio Magazine, a monthly visitor magazine. The Association serves as an advocate, facilitator, and moderator among the business, civic, and governmental communities on matters concerning the River Walk.

The Paseo del Rio Association produces over 23 events annually. They range from river parades to festivals such as Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony to Americas Armed Forces River Parade. With a staff of (6) our organization solely depends on volunteers to help produce them and make them successful. Some opportunities require, physical labor, working primarly outdoors and small cash handling demands.

Would you recommend River Walk Association?

I would definitely have a friend come with me or recommend that she sign up. I think it is very important to help the community in any way that we can. I love this city and the people in it and I am very very sad when I see some people who have no food or water and no clothes. It is very hard for me to see. I am free all of the time so whatever is needed I can always be there.
