I have been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. several times. The first time I went through it I had an anxiety attach and felt horrible the entire day. I have heard and read about the holocaust before and have seen terrible images in books. But reading about it is nothing like the impression that is made when you are surrounded by physical evidence of the holocaust, or walk into a railroad car that was used to transport victims. The impressions made and emotions felt while visiting the museum is how you really learn about the horrors of the holocaust. A learning experience not easily forgotten.
