Georgia State University Housing and its strategic partners are officially launching the Knowing is Peace campaign. The campaign's focus is to build HIV/AIDS awareness among the college students and encourage and promote testing. Specifically, the campaign speaks to the fact that half of all new HIV infections in the U.S. occur in people under the age 25 one-fourth in people under age 21, and that more than 300,000 people living with HIV/AIDS are unaware of their status.
Our preview event, which includes an outdoor fair, artist showcase, and concert, will be held on April 12th at the Masquerade Music Park. Special performances by Ludo, Rue Melo, Grammy Nominee Trin-i-tee 5:7, Novah, Chrisette Michelle, Chingy and Raza. Those that are tested will receive free admission to the event. It's $10 for all others.
