Life's Doors Hospice provides state-of-the-art palliative care and support services to individuals at the end of their lives, their family members and significant others, 24 hours a day. Life's Doors Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, sensitive to the needs of the individual and their family, they may be free to attain a degree of satisfaction in preparation for death. We seek to preserve the inherent potential for growth within the individual and their family during the last phase of life. Starting in 1994, our mission is to provide compassionate palliative care to individuals living with a terminal illness. While our RNs, CNAs, Social Workers and Chaplains make up our professional staff, our patients rely heavily on the graciousness of our vital volunteers. Our volunteers provide much needed respite for our patients, allowing their primary caregiver time for themselves during this very difficult time. Possible duties for the volunteer include companionship, playing games, light housekeeping, errands, gardening and yard work.
