Mission Statement
Buffalo Audubon leads and inspires Western New Yorkers to connect with and protect the natural world through bird-focused activities, advocacy, and habitat restoration.
Description
Buffalo Audubon Society was established in 1909 by local conservationists and is a chapter affiliate of the National Audubon Society. We are dedicated to the promotion, enjoyment, and protection of the natural world through education, nature experiences, advocacy and community conservation.
Our staff and headquarters are located at our beautiful Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve in North Java. We connect people to the natural world through immersive nature experiences, education programs, advocacy, and habitat protection. We manage seven nature preserves (1,000+ acres), and offer a newly-renovated nature center, independent and guided hiking and birding, nature education for people of all ages, a summer nature camp, and more.
