Mission Statement

Nora Sterry Elementary School is a small public school with a population of Title I students. Our mission is to nurture the whole child by providing a loving and caring school environment. We believe in public-private partnerships as a major component of our school program and encourage people in the community at the grass roots level to come and work with us on one of our many projects.

Description

Nora Sterry Elementary is one of the oldest remaining LAUSD elementary schools, opened in 1897. It has a long history of greatness, and of close alliances with UCLA School of Education, among many other organfizations.

Currently Nora Sterry is recruiting people to help organize our largely Spanish-speaking parent population, in terms of educating and enlightening them so that parents are equipped to work alongside staff to create the best educational environment possible.
